When i disconnect the carriage and manually move door it seems to move smoothly in both directions. Even after putting new batteries in the remote the garage door still is not. The learn indicator light will glow steadily for 30 seconds. You are overriding the infrared beam sensor when you hold down the wall button continuously while the garage door is closing.

I tried resetting them but now the large button opens both doors at the same time. The wall button and remote work fine for opening door but i have to hold down the wall button to close it. Within this 30 second time period press and hold the button on the hand held remote. It is a craftsman.
